Our Story

From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to the joy of discovery. As a child with a fondness for food, I found comfort and delight in my grandmother’s Teochew cooking. Her dishes exemplified the beauty of simplicity, where every ingredient served a purpose, and the flavour was truly delicious. Life took me on a journey through music as a violinist and teacher, but the demands of work and poor eating habits struck a discordant note in my health. It was then that I decided to embrace change, slowing down to explore the art of French baking. This newfound passion, coupled with a commitment to fitness and nutrition, steered me towards a pivotal career change.

The world of pastry, under the guidance of master chefs, reshaped my perspective on food. During this transformative period, I uncovered my gluten sensitivity, solving a lifelong puzzle of unexplained allergies. This revelation was a clarion call to the healing power of food. I delved deeper into the world of functional food, understanding that what we eat can do more than just satisfy hunger; it can heal our bodies and prevent diseases.

After pastry school, I joined the pastry kitchen of a prestigious five-star hotel, where my fascination with the food industry grew. Witnessing the impact of food choices on health and well-being, I was convinced that making a difference in this field was my calling.

In 2016, an opportunity arose to take over a nut butter business. With no prior experience in entrepreneurship, I was nuts enough and took the plunge, inspired by the memory of my grandmother’s cooking—uncomplicated, nutrient-rich, and full of love. It reinforced my belief that true well-being starts from within, nurtured by the gifts of nature. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated; it’s about honouring our bodies and the goodness that nature provides.

Embracing this adventure, I was determined to spread the message that simple, wholesome food has the power to transform lives.
